Domestics

The whole campus, as well as every branch held by the college, serve as the core of the school’s domestic sector. Included on the school grounds are all of the buildings used by the school, including residence halls, classrooms, and eating facilities. One capable individual, a Santaclausian by the name of Mr. Frank Osafo Asare, oversees this entire area of the institution.

Senior House Staff

In Adisadel College, all house masters are headed by a group of three senior staff, which we call the Senior House Masters or Mistress. At each part of the campuses of Adisco (Leopoldville and Katanga), is located one Senior house master

  • House masters

All ten (10) houses in Adisadel College have a maximum of two house masters, who are classified as main and deputy; however, they may be referred to as co-house masters.

  • House staff

In each house in Adisasel College, there are house staff, whom we call house executives. They include supervisors who ensure that house work is completed while the house prefects are away, as well as others such as house dispensers who manage the health sector of the students and solve health issues in the house, house advocates who serve as an arbitrator for the house or a lawyer for the house, house security who ensure that the house is in order and secure, compline managers, and others.

Students

Currently, there are about 2000 form three (3) students and over 1000 form two (2) students.

Security Staff

Security staff at Adisadel College are employed by the Assistant Headmaster-Domestics in place of the headmaster and patrol on foot and monitor school property, school grounds, and school entrances to ensure only authorized personnel and authorized visitors access the school; and when necessary, they redirect or escort from property and report unusual activity or suspicions of safety issues to the Security Supervisor or administration in a timely manner. They are responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and welfare of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors, and they actively respond to incidents, fights, or other issues in the school that threaten the safety of students, staff, and/or guests, making use of Safety Care skills up to and including momentary physical intervention if warranted by the safety risk.

Domestic Bursar

The Domestic Bursar manages the college’s finances. The bursar focuses more on the actual handling of money and financial transactions in the school and handles petty cash in some circumstances and is responsible for the safekeeping of all paper money of the school.

He liaises closely with the Principal Bursar and Master of Works in managing an effective rolling programme of maintenance and repairs of all student accommodation, Fellows’ and staff rooms, domestic facilities like the kitchens, the Hall and function rooms, including furniture and furnishings.

In Adisadel College, the bursar is located near the office of the registrar or with financial aid manages most work on a computer, managing books and records new payments made by the government.

  • Cooks

School cooks provide nutritious, balanced, and value-for-money meals for students, faculty, and staff, which means you make them every day during term time. The school cooks or catering managers are responsible for the planning and ordering of food menus while monitoring and managing supplies within the fixed budget provided by the government through the domestic bursar. They liaise with the dining hall master, who is the site manager, to provide food for the school—enough for the masses—and comply with food safety legislation.

  • Pantry hands

The school food pantry is a food pantry located inside the school which provides free food for students and the teachers. There are pantry hands who work with the school administrators and the school food bank that safely stores hundreds of pounds of food that is provided by the government that will soon be used to cook for the school. The Adisadel Pantry hands assist in day-to-day general pantry work and all work that will be assigned by the kitchen supervisors.

 

Accountant

Adisadel College places financial administration, control, and reporting under the responsibility of the accountant. Improving performance and giving the governors, headmaster, and bursar financial data to support wise business decisions are critical responsibilities of the school accountant. In addition, they are in charge of technical standards and controls, financial planning and control, management reporting, payroll and pension transactions, billing and invoicing for school fees, statutory reporting, returns, and audits.

Accounting staff

At Adisadel College, the role of the staff accountant is key to achieving improved performance. He is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial documents, reports, and statements. They also oversee all accounting procedures while providing governors, the headmaster, and the bursar with financial information to support good business decision-making and on general finance matters.

Store keeper

Here at Adisadel College, In a supply operation, the storekeeper purchases, stores, and distributes supplies. He also keeps inventory records, updates control procedures, and completes related tasks like gathering, processing, and documenting goods, helping with receipts, looking for discrepancies, and sorting items by price and location in the storeroom.

Procurement officer

At Adisadel College, the procurement officer’s responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records of every such activity that goes on in the school.
