YEAR GROUPS 25TH. ANNIVERSARY DONATIONS
 

The School Tradition - "Adisadel Spirit"
The "Adisadel Spirit" basically means "Be prepared to serve your school at all times." This spirit of self-help and determination to serve Adisadel was the propelling force that moved the Topp Yard staff and students (in the 1930s) to resolve to make the current Hill Top of Adisadel the repository of scholarship and fame.

Old Boys who left the school exactly 25 years ago have traditionally sponsored the Speech and Prize Giving Day event held in March as part of their 25th. anniversary since leaving school. Each graduating class forms a year group - the year being when the class completed Form 5 in the old school system or SSS3/SSS4 in the new educational system. Students who attended Adisadel for the first time at the Lower Six (6) level in the old system are placed in the same year group as their Lower 6 classmates. The year group of Old Boys embark on a major or minor project as part of the 25th. anniversary sponsorship. Projects include buying equipment for the school, or putting up a structure or rehabilitating some of the existing structures in the school. As an example, in 2004, the 1979 Year Group donated the current school gate at the Cape Coast - Takoradi by-pass road.

1979 2004 Construction of the magnificent Mercer East Gate
1978 2003 1. Presented ten (10) Rambo Size Polytank with fitting Accessories
2. High Powered Heavy duty water pump.
3. Air conditioner for the Assistant Headmaster’s office
4. Donated Cadet Uniforms in March 2010
1977 2002 1. Donation of Nissan Urvan Mini Bus to the school in 2002
2. Continual Sponsorship of annual Staff Awards at Speech days.
1976 2001 Initiated the construction of the Defense Wall at the Main Gate
1975 2000 One-storey building with offices and gender friendly washrooms for the staff (under construction)
1968 1993 1. Donated a set of Jazz band instruments in 1993
2. Donated fifteen (15) pair of Track Suits in 2006
3. Donated various Science Equipment in 2008
1967 1992 Established Computer Centre in the School in March 1992
1966 1991 Donated Gas Oven for baking at the Kitchen/Renovation of five (5) classrooms to modern standards on their 40th Anniversary after leaving school.
1965 1990 Corn Mill/Kneading machine donation in 1990
1963 1988 Donated ten (10) Computers to the Heads of Departments Office
1953 1978 Donated Kiln for the Art Department and Incinerator for the Upper School
